Sometimes it can be difficult, living the Christian life. If we are not on guard, we can become discouraged. Long ago, Solomon wrote in Prov. 24:10, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Enduring difficult times can make us stronger. The Lord's half brother wrote in Jas. 1:2-3, “My Brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience.”
However, when we are enduring trials, they can discourage us and wear us down. During those very difficult times, we must continue in Christ. We read in Heb. 10:39, “But we are not of those who draw back to perdition, but of those who believe to the saving of the soul.” When a Christian gives up and returns to the world, the results are never good. But, the Christian who endures will eventually reach Heaven. So keep enduring no matter what!
